Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) is the first private university in Andhra Pradesh, India. It was previously known as GITAM college. Established in 1980, it was conferred the status of deemed university in 2007.

GITAM University offers courses in the fields of Science, Engineering, Business, Architecture and Pharmacy at undergraduate, post-graduate and diploma level. The university has two campuses - its main campus at Visakhapatnam, and an off campus at Hyderabad. GITAM is a premier educational institution in the country having 31 years of track record in teaching and research of global standards. The University is located in two picturesque campuses at Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad spreadover 100 acres each. With a multi disciplinary approach, the University offers 106 programs at UG, PG and Doctoral levels in - Technology, Pharmacy, Science, Management, International Business and Architecture.
